Dualshock 3!
#1
woot! Tricked the girlfriend into taking a walk by a futureshop lastnight -- got a game of Rockband in, a game of guitar hero, and picked up a Dualshock 3.

"Don't you already have 2 controllers?"

"Yes, but this rumbles"

"Ok, what's that mean?"

"It's like force feedback, it vibrates"

"And the others don't?"

"nope"

"I'll never catch up to your tech-geekery, will I?"

"no... no, you won't -- ooo Eye of Judgement!"

ahhh... considering how big a nerd I am, she's quite patient with me.. I am lucky..

Anyhoo...looking forward to plugging this thing in and giving it a whirl in all my games.

hmm... beer......

Attaboy Steve, great strategy! :D

I'm SO getting a PS3 in a couple of weeks. Just a few more hurdles to clear here first... and I'm not talking about the G/F.
Daily driver 1: 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport "S"

33" BFG Mud-Terrain KM2s, lots of Rough Country gear - bumper, 2.5" lift, swaybar disconnects, Superwinch 10,000lb winch, Detroit Locker in rear D44 axle, custom exhaust, K+N filtercharger, Superchips-tuned.

Daily driver 2: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT

COBB Stage 1+ package - AccessPort tuner, COBB intake and airbox. Stage 2 coming shortly - COBB 3" AT stainless DP and race cat, custom 3" Magnaflow-based exhaust and Stage 2 COBB tune.

Is it worth it?? I need to pick up a second controller anyways. We really should have a PS3 section in here.

That's my question (esp. in my case where I don't have people over often to game) I'm just leery of buying one of those and then having to worry about the condition of the batteries in two controllers...

I personally think it's worth it.

My issue being that purely visual cues of when you're being shot at, driving off road, or being shot at can easily be missed. If the whole screen turns red with death, am I actually taking damage? I can't see the red arrow :S .. so yeah, having some tactile feedback is always a benefit.
