Not really. Depending on the market, housing costs are less than here.

Add to that our tax base, and the fact that you can write off your mortgage interest against your taxes, the average American has more disposible income than the average Canadian.

yea i'm sure you are right. the only places in the US i've lived are nyc and sf bay area and i'm comparing that to toronto
