15 Yr Old Shot And Killed By Police
#21
its been reported in the news, he wasnt a stranger to the cops.. he has previouis convictions/charges against him for auto theft and/or such.. no wonder.. I think the cops did good, if a guy is committing his 4th offense and the 3 other times hes been charged/arrested and still does it, then obviously hes not learned his lesson the first 3 times, otherwise he would realize the concequences.

well adding to the story of the youth, really I don't care what happened to him as he was a criminal cought in the act, but here is a follow up to the story currently.

Teen shot by police had previous convictions
CTV.ca News Staff

A troubled teenager was shot by police Tuesday morning behind the Scarborough apartment building where he lived.

The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be identified by law, was no stranger to the youth criminal justice system. He had been in and out of jail over the last six months. Since December four criminal convictions had been registered against the teen for offences that included robbery and stealing a motor vehicle.

It was a stolen minivan that caught the attention of police officers Tuesday morning. Officers reportedly followed the vehicle as it was being driven by the young boy.

In a rear parking lot of the Lawrence Avenue East apartment building police confronted him. An officer opened fire when the teen apparently swerved the van toward another officer.

Five bullets were fired through the passenger window of the vehicle. The teen was struck in the arm and chest. Paramedics performed CPR on the teen, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

While police were heard shouting for the boy to drop his gun, early reports said no weapon was found with the teen.

But the Special Investigations Unit, which has taken over the investigation, said in a written statement Wednesday that they cannot "speak conclusively" about the presence of a weapon.

"This is considered to be a matter of evidence and any public comment on this issue could jeopardize the integrity of the investigation," the statement read.

The SIU said that forensic identification technicians have photographed the scene and gathered evidence from the scene. The minivan was taken to the Centre of Forensic Science for analysis.

Investigators ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the SIU at (416) 622-1988 or toll-free at 1 (800) 787-8529, ext. 1988.

The SIU is a civilian organization that probes incidents between police and civilians that result in serious injury, sexual assault or death.
