Are they individual letters, or one big sticker? I'm thinking of getting a set of White & Red and mixing/matching to give some contrast.

the stickers are vinyl stickers -- so they're individually cut letters on backing paper. Since they're cut from single colour vinyl, you could buy multiple stickers in different colours and then mix and match.
